The Web Design Process
Step One: Proposal and Analysis
We begin with an initial meeting or phone conversation where we'll figure out what you want to have on your website and some of your new website's key features. We will get an understanding of your goals and needs and discuss your services and products, current branding, and marketing strategies. We will also figure out your budget, discuss a domain name (www.yoursite.com), and your hosting and email options. I'll work closely with you to develop a custom plan tailored to match your organizations needs and budget.
Step Two: Drafting and Conceptual Design
In this stage, we'll craft a timeline and define all of the components necessary so that there is a clear, detailed plan to work from. This plan will include the website's appearence, page structure and an explanation of each page's features and functionality. At the end of this stage, we'll have a clear assessment of both design and production priorities so we can confidently move forward and begin development.
Step Three: Development and Testing
I'll begin design and development of your website. I will convert any designs we have worked on during the process into full functioning website designs. I will also be sure to work out bugs and conduct real-world testing on your website. I will provide you with updates and keep in touch to let you know the development progress.
Step Four: Review and Revision
Once the draft of your website has been completed, you will have the chance to review its every aspect and suggest changes to the design. I encourage open dialogue and feedback so you get exactly what you are looking for. You can make as many revisions as you need to be satisfied. Once you are happy we will move on to the next step.
Step Five: Launch
We will purchase your domain name and hosting (if not done already) and prepare to put your website online. Email boxes and similar accounts will be set up and configured. When you are ready to launch your website, I will upload it to the internet and take all necessary steps to establish your website in search engines. You are now online!
